For over 500 years, many Christians have marked the beginning of Lent by eating pancakes on the Tuesday prior to Ash Wednesday, called Shrove Tuesday. This tradition began as a way of using up eggs, butter, and sugar left in the house which would not have been eaten during Lent. This year, we will be celebrating Shrove Tuesday by having a delicious (and slightly competitive!) Pancake Supper with Messiah Lutheran. Join us at Messiah for a breakfast feast on Tuesday, February 25 at 5 p.m. and support Fr. Gray and Astrid as they represent Good Sam’s!
