The Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis awards Lucy Karam as 2024 Distinguished Woman
Our very own distinguished woman, Lucy Karam, has been selected as the 2024 Distinguished Woman from the Diocese of Indianapolis! Thank you to the Episcopal Women’s Ministries Council for selecting Lucy, who will be honored in many ways throughout 2024 (including during the Diocesan Convention in November).
Lucy began leading Good Sam’s Outreach ministries in 2016 and continues to be involved in this important call today. The person who nominated Lucy is quoted as saying, “We honor Lucy because she has honored all of us with her quiet resolution to sustain our congregation in a period of rapid change. As our congregation grows, her ideas, hands and advice are all over the road map for our future. We honor her because she has honored Christ through her selfless service and actions that many don’t visibly see, but spiritually benefit from.”
The rest of Good Samaritan Episcopal Church couldn’t agree more with those sentiments.
We are so proud of you for this well-deserved recognition as a Distinguished Woman, Lucy, and are so thankful for the gifts you continue to use within our community.
