Good Sam’s Kids, Explorers, and Pathfinders

Fun Fourth Friday is TONIGHT! Help us kick off the Halloween season with a kid-friendly outdoor Halloween movie. Kids are invited to wear a costume, and to bring a snack and a chair. This is a drop-off event. Registration is required and all in-person gathering guidelines must be met. If bad weather or an increase in COVID cases gets in the way of our outdoor movie, we will move to Plan B, a Netflix watch party. (You must have a Netflix login to join.)

Good Sam’s Explorers & Pathfinders

Good Sam’s Youth are excited to kick off our Mission Mondays in October! Good Sam’s Explorers and Pathfinders will join together to take on a mission each month as they aim to give back to our community. The youth will meet on Monday, October 5th where they will learn about their identity and the world around them as they seek to take action and do “the work” as they work their way through This Book is Anti-Racist by Tiffany Jewell. We will partner with the Good Sam’s Sojourners in this journey to learn about racial injustice. Several of our Sojourners have experience with this work already in both learning about racial injustices within our culture, as well as going out into our community to be part of the change. The youth will get their first taste of mission work on Monday, November 2nd as they help with the Election Eve Prayer Vigil at the Town Hall in Brownsburg.

Good Sam’s 1st Annual Trunk or Treat | Thursday, Oct. 29th | Participants Needed!

Good Sam’s will be hosting our first ever Trunk or Treat on Thursday, Oct. 29th, 6:30-8:30 p.m. and we need YOU! Participants will be asked to decorate their trunks or truck beds with fun, family-friendly Halloween themes. This event will be in conjunction with the Harris Food Pantry. Participants and guests are encouraged to bring a Thanksgiving side dish pantry item to donate to the food pantry. It will be socially-distanced and contact-less. Guests will drive through to see all the cars and collect their Halloween treats at the end of the line before exiting. There will be a contest for fan-favorite trunks, so feel free to go all out with your decorating, including costumes to complement your theme! We are taking candy and allergy-safe donations to fill our treat bags via porch drop at the following addresses:

2171 McGregor Ct. (Avon)

11 Fairfield Dr. – front porch is on Parkwood (W. Brownsburg)

5747 Grand Vista Dr. (E. Brownsburg).
