From the Vicar: When we shared a few weeks ago that I have discerned that it is time to leave my position as Vicar of Good Sam’s, we did not yet have a firm end date for my time here, only a window of “sometime after Easter.” While I am still not sure exactly what I will be doing next, many of the possibilities I am exploring would expect a midsummer start date, and some would require a move first. In order for me to be able to manage that likely transition timeline well for all involved, including for my own health, I’ve let the Bishop’s Committee know that May 1 will need to be my last Sunday as Vicar. I look forward to sharing a beautiful and meaningful Holy Week and Easter with you all before that, and to celebrating a bittersweet farewell together on May 1.
