As part of our Growing Courageous Neighbors exploration, young Good Samaritans and their families are invited to attend the 2 p.m. showing of The Watsons Go to Birmingham at the Indiana Repertory Theatre on Sunday, Feb. 23rd. Good Samaritans will meet the Watsons of Flint, Michigan: Momma, Dad, little sister Joetta, big brother Byron, and ten-year-old Kenny. When Byron can’t stay out of trouble, the whole family piles into their “Brown Bomber” and drives south to visit Grandma Sands for the summer. But along the way, they’ll experience a pivotal moment in the Civil Rights Movement. Cost is $10 adult/$5 child (scholarships available). Please register on Realm or email Astrid at admin@churchthatserves.wpstagecoach.com no later than Jan. 23 so that we can purchase tickets in advance. Good Samaritans are encouraged to meet at the Circle Center Mall food court immediately following church so that we can enjoy lunch together before walking to the theatre. We suggest parking in the mall parking garage. The play runs approximately one hour and thirty minutes and there is no intermission.
