A place where there is a lot of freedom to ask difficult questions about faith without judgement, our Doubters and Skeptics group is a time for conversation and exploration.
Stump the Professor: “Everything you ever wanted to ask a scholar about the New Testament but never had the chance!” Our next Doubters & Skeptics gathering will be from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24 at Elevate Offices.
Our October gathering will feature The Rev. Dr. Amy Lindeman Allen, assistant professor of New Testament at Christian Theological Seminary. She holds her PhD from Vanderbilt University and is author of For Theirs is the Kingdom: Inclusion and Participation of Children in the Gospel According to Luke(Fortress/Lexington, 2019) as well as chapters in the Handbook of Children in the Bible and the Biblical World (T&T Clark, 2019) and Luke-Acts: Texts@Contexts (T&T Clark, 2019). Her areas of interest include children and families in the New Testament, Early Christian Worship, and contextual readings of the biblical text.
Let us know you’re coming by Wednesday, October 23 so we can order plenty of food!
