Good Sam’s Explorers

Our Mission Statement:
We are a group of Christian fifth & sixth graders exploring real world solutions to problems and struggles that impact all of our neighbors…no exceptions!

Fifth & Sixth grade

Good Sam’s Explorers are in 5th & 6th grades. We meet the second, third, and fourth Sunday of each month immediately after our worship service. The second Sunday is traditional Bible study using the Connect curriculum. On the third & fourth Sundays, Explorers take time to apply what we’ve learned from these ancient stories to today’s world. We do this by developing a mission statement together and that serves our community in the way Christ has taught us, including ALL neighbors, no exceptions. This year’s mission is Creation Care and finding new ways to take care of God’s Creation, a.k.a. Earth, by exploring options and needs through guest speakers, researching needs of our community, and brainstorming solutions. Explorers are also invited to further participate in the liturgy by serving as acolytes. Good Samaritan provides formal training for those interested in serving this way.
