Good Samaritan cares deeply about the safety of the children and families we serve. We follow the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis Policies for the Protection of Youth and Children from Abuse for the protection, safety, and well-being of children and adults involved in the life and ministries of our congregation. The intention of these policies and procedures is to establish and maintain a safe place for all our parishioners.

These practices include education and training requirements for all staff and volunteers prior to working with children, youth or on pastoral care teams in our congregation.

Our highlights:
  • Background checks and reference interviews for all clergy and employees.
  • 3+ Hours of Safeguarding God’s Children training for all lay leaders and all volunteers who work with children and youth.
  • Commitment to 2-deep ministry: two unrelated adults supervise all children and youth ministry activities.
In-person worship is at 10 a.m. on Sundays at Harris Academy. Learn more about our in person & live-stream options here!Learn more about how to worship with us
