We are a group of Christian 5th and 6th graders exploring real world solutions to problems and struggles that impact ALL of our neighbors…NO EXCEPTIONS!

GOOD SAM’S EXPLORERS: 5th and 6th Grades

Good Sam’s Explorers are in 5th and 6th grades. They meet the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sundays
immediately after church. The 2nd Sunday is traditional Bible study where, using the Connect
curriculum, Explorers dive deeper into stories they may already be familiar with. On the 3rd and
4th Sundays, Explorers take time to put what they’ve learned from these ancient stories and
apply them to today’s world. They will do this by developing a mission that is managed
exclusively by the Explorers and that serves their community in the way Christ has taught them,
including ALL neighbors, no exceptions. This year’s mission is Creation Care and finding
new ways to take care of God’s Creation, aka Earth, by exploring options and needs through
guest speakers, researching needs on their own, and brainstorming solutions. After careful
research and discerning, they will then decide on what they agree is the greatest need in which
they can be the greatest help.

Because they are attending worship, Explorers are invited to further participate in the liturgy by
serving as acolytes. Good Samaritan provides formal training for those interested in serving this
